Alok's role as Global COO is to implement the Firm's operational strategy, drive transformation and change management, oversee the development of a data-driven reporting framework, and partner with the EQT Real Estate's leadership team to help shape culture and talent development. He also continues to help oversee client relationships and capital raising at EQT Real Estate, which is executed by a dedicated 28-person global client relationship and capital raising team. Alok is a member of the EQT Real Estate Management Group, which supports the development and execution of the firm’s global real estate business strategy. Prior to joining EQT, Alok was the Global Head of Investor Relations at LaSalle Investment Management in Chicago and sat on the firm’s Global Management Committee. He has previously served as a Managing Director and Partner at The Carlyle Group in Washington DC, where he led the capital raising function for global real estate. Before Carlyle, he held senior positions at Greenhill and Co., and Credit Suisse’s Real Estate Private Fund Group where he was involved in a variety of capital raising activities for funds and ventures pursuing various real estate investment strategies in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. He also worked for nine years at The John Buck Company in a number of roles, and two years at Coopers & Lybrand (now known as PwC) in the Real Estate Advisory Group as a consultant. Alok received an MBA and BA from The University of Chicago and currently holds Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
